Announcing Fall Day by Ellery Designs!

Fall Day🍂by Ellery Designs is coming July 27, 2026! This has been in the works for months and months and months. 

Fall Day smells like a crisp autumn outdoor breeze with notes of cedarwood, woods-y florals, and cinnamon that intertwine with softer notes of vanilla, bright citrus and earthy patchouli. Fall Day captures everything you love about the perfect autumn afternoon — crisp air, bright citrus, woodsy florals, and a comforting hint of spice. Notes of cedarwood, orange, cinnamon, and delicate florals blend beautifully to create a scent that feels both fresh and nostalgic. This candle embraces everything you look forward to for fall like friday night lights, hayrides and fall festivals. 

Fall Day has a "moderate" hot throw strength....meaning, not too strong and not too light/soft. Just right. The top notes include smoky clove and bright citrus with middle notes of cedarwood, pine, and crispy forest air. Bottom notes are warm amber, sandalwood, balsam, and earthy patchouli. The top notes can be smelled almost immediately after lighting the candle, the middle notes linger for 20 minutes to several hours and are the heart of the candle. The bottom notes can last for many hours and are typically are smelled last. However, with all that said, every nose is soooo different and you may pick up on the bottom notes earlier than others or enjoy the top notes longer than most. 

 

Ellery Designs imagined this candle and worked directly with the team to formulate a candle that captured a scent we've never made before. This is the second candle we've made with Michelle and you may remember her North Shore candle! If you want a notification by text or email on July 27th when this candle is ready to be shipped to homes, we can do that! 

 

Who is Michelle by Ellery Designs?

Hi!! I'm Michelle! 👋 Here are 10 things that describe a part of who I am: 

1. Mom of one daughter (Cami) who is my favorite person. She's going to be a senior next year and my mama heart is not ready for all of the upcoming "lasts"! When they say it goes fast, they aren't lying! 😭 

2. I LOVE sports - Cam has played softball for the last ten years, so our "vacations" have always been at the softball fields and I wouldn't have it any other way. I also enjoy watching basketball and football and my favorite sport to play is probably volleyball - but that's b/c it's the only sport I can still kind of play without looking my age. 🤣

3. If I could wear a baseball hat every day, I would. 🧢

4. Sneaker snob - doesn't matter the brand. Love a good sneaker and a cute outfit! 👟

5. North Shore is my first collaboration candle with Antique Candle Co. The #1 one thing people say when they smell it is that it's "clean" and perfect to burn year-round. Husbands also rave about this one- WIN/WIN! 🙌 🌊

6. My favorite colors are kelly green, hot pink and royal blue!

7. Music lover - from rap to country...I have an earbud in at all times!

8. I ran a half marathon in 2025 and still can't believe I did that. I'm a very motivated and competitive person. 

9. My favorite season is summer...probably b/c I'm always cold 🥶

10.  Give me a sports bar, good friends + a Miller Lite and I'm my happiest self. 🍻

 

What does Ellery Designs mean? It's a combo of michELLE and RYan. My husband and I used to make signs for kids birthday parties and I used to focus on more interior design and decor but that has now evolved into so much more. My main focus now is sharing my favorite things on Instagram whether that is my favorite candles, a cute outfit or a new fav amazon find. 

 

How did I discover Antique Candle Co.®? I found ACC through Erin at @cottonstem who was promoting her then collaboration candle, Country Pear. Erin has since retired from social media, but it's still one of my all-time favorite scents - I call it my OG fav. If you haven't tried Country Pear, you're missing out!

 

My vision for Fall Day by Ellery Designs? I wanted a candle that smelled like all my favorite fall things: Friday Night Lights, fall decorating, a brisk outdoor walk on an autumn day, and the list goes on. When my daughter first smelled it, she said it smells like grandma's house when she gets all of her fall bins out and starts decorating. That's when I knew it was "the one" b/c that was the feeling I wanted others to experience in a candle. 

 

What does Fall Day smell like in a home? It smells like all the things you want to experience on a fall day, wrapped into one amazing scent. It's the candle that will have your guests saying "it smells like fall in here!" when they walk in your door. It makes me so freaking happy every time I burn it - such a cozy, fresh and nostalgic fall scent that brings me joy.

 

What do you I want others to know about this scent vs. other scents? It's unique and unlike any fall scent. It's not just one thing - it's not fruity, it's not pumpkin-y, it's not masculine, it's not woodsy - it's all of those things carefully wrapped into one. It has a crisp sweetness mixed with subtle spiciness and also gives off an outdoorsy vibe. Antique Candle Co mixed all of my favorite things into a perfect summer-to-fall transition candle scent! I have a feeling it's going to be your new favorite to burn this fall! Fun fact, I've been burning it since late winter, early spring and it's officially moved to my all-time #1 fav. Something about it just makes me so freaking happy and I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU ALL! 🥰
