Safety matches are an essential part of candle care!

Our Safety Matchbox features a beautiful Matthew 5:16 design — “let your light shine before others” — on one side and charming hand-drawn matchsticks on the other.

Each box includes approximately 15 wooden matches, each 3" long for safe and easy lighting. There’s something extra satisfying about striking a fresh match to enjoy the glow of your favorite Antique Candle Co.® candle!

Candle Care
  • Burn the candle no longer than 2-4 hours at a time, just enough to allow the wax to melt across the surface. Stop using the candle when only ¼" of wax remains in the jar.
  • Use a wick trimmer to trim wick to about ¼ - ½" to ensure a safe, even burn. Ensure all wick trimmings are removed from the candle and thrown away.
  • Use a snuffer to extinguish your candle safely.
  • Do not use any type of candle lid to extinguish the flame.
  • Always store your candles in a cool, dry, and dark place.

    • All contiguous U.S. orders of $65+ ship FREE! Domestic orders outside the contiguous U.S. qualify for free shipping at $85+, or ship for a $15 flat rate on orders under $85. Once shipped, orders within the U.S. typically arrive to your home 1-5 days.
    • Starting 5/1/25, we will no longer be able to offer shipping to Canada.
    • If your candle arrives damaged from transit, don’t worry! Reach out to our Candle Care team here—we’ll replace it for FREE!

All average shipping times assume no delays. Please allow additional transit time for Hawaii and Alaska, or during the holiday season. We take special care in packaging your candles to protect them from weather and possible damage during transit. However, in extreme hot or cold conditions, we recommend minimizing the time packages remain outside (on a doorstep).
