Brittany here - founder & owner of Antique Candle Co.® I wanted to write to you and let you know that.....the entire candle calendar year is planned for 2026 :) It took about 30 days of planning and reviewing your feedback, looking at the number of customers that purchased every candle, and more!! So here it is: There are TWO big updates to share with you. Ok, the big updates:
-
- 7 candles will retire and officially enter the Vault at some point this year! Depending on the oil and other candle-making supplies we have (jars, labels, etc.), they will be in the Vault as soon as they are officially sold out. The scents that will be retiring are: Fresh Roasted Coffee, Sandalwood Vanilla, Vanilla Cake, Earl Grey by To Mimi's House We Go, Main Street Bakery, Good Tidings and Apple Butter, while the others are completely sold out.
- 6 "seasonal" candles will now be year-round and part of our classic fragrances in 2026. Those scents are: Lavender Vanilla, Cozy Cabin, Sweet Lemon, Country Home by Allie Boss, Clove & Pine, and Warm Caramel Crumble by Sarah Joy.
This might be some good news, and perhaps depending on the scents you love from us... some bad news (though I hope mostly good news!). The biggest driver for this decision was what scents you are loving and purchasing. While there are some customers who are purchasing some of the scents we are retiring, it's just not enough. However, I hate hate hate that we can't keep every candle forever and ever... But alas... if we did that, we'd have over 100 candles after 12 years in business. I want to keep creating new candles and trying new things & this gives room to do that for you - you all have given us SO MANY IDEAS! Just this week someone said we should try a tomato-scented candle again (it has been years since I tried a tomato scent!).
So where will the retired scents go? They will eventually go in the Vault. You can read about what a Vault Release is here - we hope to have a few every year. No promises, but that's the goal. You can also stock up if there are still some available! Feel free to leave a comment or send us an email at contact@antiquecandleco.com and we can let you know how many we still have in stock. :)
When will the 6 candles be added year-round? Some are already available right now because we had the candle-making supplies on hand. Most of them though, we had to order supplies for - the fragrance oil, get the jars ready, etc. Outside of that, all the candles use the same 100% soy wax, cotton wicks, and old-timey zinc lids. You can expect them all to be on the website by March 3, 2026 at the latest. If you want notified as soon as they are in stock, join our email list!
Feel free to take a look at the full Candle Library, which displays the scent profile of each candle. If you are reading this blog in February 2026, you'll notice it hasn't been fully updated, but if you are reading this after the blog is published, it should be up to date!
