We made 5 candles for the 200th Anniversary of City of Lafayette!

Gosh, this has been so fun! We made 5 candles to help the City of Lafayette celebrate 200 years of history. Lafayette, Indiana is my hometown and has been a huge cheerleader for Antique Candle Co. for many years.....so when they reached out to create some candles to commemorate our town, of course, it was a big YES!

We crafted 5 candles based on some of our favorite spots in our city. These 5 candles will only be available in two ways:

1.) In local stores near Lafayette, Indiana for purchase including The Homestead in West Lafayette, Indiana and 21 Petals in Lafayette, Indiana or 

2.) All 5 candles shipped as a free bonus box shipped only to our monthly candle box subscribers in May 2025. Yes, this is truly a bonus box in addition to your normal monthly candle box. There will be no charge and this is just a simple thank you to those that are either from Lafayette or live in the surrounding 9 counties including Tippecanoe County. Any current subscribers can request to receive this box on this form. If you become a new monthly candle box subscriber by May 31, 2025 & complete this form, you can receive the 5 new candles, too. 


The project started in early 2024 & a few of us coworkers curated scents to match icons and locations that evoke some of the most special locations of Lafayette, Indiana. What do you think of the scents from just reading them? 

Kate Mast, a local artist and Lafayette native, designed the labels & even visited the locations to draw each design. Fun fact: She is also a candle maker at Antique Candle Co. How do you think she did? Here are a few of my favorites: 


After Kate finalized the designs & a few of us coworkers crafted the scents to match the City of Lafayette icons. Then, we presented our results to the Committee representing the City of Lafayette in Summer 2024. My fellow candle makers and coworkers LJ & Taylor joined me in presenting.....the committee members fell in love with each one. We were so pleased & hope you can enjoy these fragrances, too. Candles that mimic Columbian Park, Pedestrian Bridge, and the Farmer's Market are finally here!
