more than a candle: your candle story
As you may already know, a primary goal at Antique Candle Co.® (previously Antique Candle Works) is to help make you, our friends, happy with the best candle experience we can offer!
We want our candles to be more than just a candle for you. Maybe you have some good memories surrounding our candles; perhaps you received a candle as a gift when you had a surprise visit from a loved one, or maybe you associate the smell of your favorite fragrance with a family gathering you hosted with the candle burning. Or, maybe a lit candle just means you are having the best day. Whatever your candle story is, we are always overjoyed to hear about the smiles we have helped bring!
We asked some of our friends on Instagram if they would like to share some of their candle stories with us, and the responses filled our hearts! We would love to share with you some of the happiness shared with Antique Candle Co.® candles!
Our friend Brooke shared a touching story with Back Roads, and a proposal.
Her son took the road less traveled on a romantic venture that all led up to asking the woman of his dreams to marry him! He quite literally took a ‘back road’ to propose!
As an engagement gift, Brooke got her soon-to-be Daughter-in-Law none other than a Back Roads candle. What a great idea, and an adorable gesture! Congrats, Brooke, on your son’s engagement!
Lauren shared another story involving marriage. Last fall, Lauren ordered some of our seasonal candles as gifts for her bridesmaids at her bridal shower. What a sweet gift!
She said that she loved telling her bridesmaids all about the handmade soy candles and how they came from a little candle business in Indiana. Plus, all her friends loved them! Thanks so much for sharing our story, Lauren, and congratulations on your marriage!
Finally, Brandi told us a story about how her candle experience helped those in need! Antique Candle Co.® has been a part of charity auctions several times over the course of the business, and our candles were a part of a charity event hosted by Brandi’s kids’ school!
She said she loved watching people outbid each other over these candles, all in the name of charity! Thank you so much for sharing, Brandi, we are so glad to have been a part of this event!
What is your candle story? We would love to hear it! Or, if you want to learn more about our own candle story, check out this blog, Stovetop to Studio!
