Antique Candle Co.® (previously Antique Candle Works) is a small business that puts great care into the products we send out to our friends all across the nation.  We pay attention to every single detail in order to provide you with the best candle experience possible, right down to the ingredients used to actually make the candles. All of our candles use fine fragrance oils, cotton wicks, and 100% soy wax. 

We are often asked, "what are the benefits of a soy candle?" Brittany (CEO + founder) chose soy for Antique Candle Co.® for three specific reasons! Here are some of the amazing reasons why soy wax candles are the best!

Our soy wax is made from soy beans that are domestically grown right here in the United States.  The soy bean oil that forms the wax is eco-friendly, renewable, naturally biodegradable, and water soluble—which makes it easier to clean, too!  Unlike the paraffin wax that many candles are commonly made of (which often comes from foreign petroleum oil), soy wax is non-toxic and supports American farmers.

 2. Your candle will last longer.

Soy wax has a low melting point, so the wax doesn’t get as hot.  This slower burn will allow you to enjoy your soy candle 30-50% longer than other candles.  Also, because of this lower melting point, there will be more liquid wax around the wick itself.  This allows the fragrance oils to evaporate into the air more efficiently, filling your home with a strong, lasting scent.

 3. It allows for a cleaner burn.

Not only does this mean your soy candle will produce very little black soot or smoke like paraffin candles, thus not discoloring your furniture and walls, but this also means soy wax produces a non-toxic burn.  Because soy is a natural source, is does not increase the level of CO2 in the air.  There are also no carcinogens or pollutants.  Compared to paraffin, soy wax is much safer and healthier for your family, pets, and the environment.
